Attentiveness Rising

This morning, 17 Jan 2011, I was having a coaching session and almost allowed myself to be distracted by the vibrations of an incoming call. I managed to remember to deliberately put the phone down without answering it, and refocus on the client. The client was no doubt very friendly and said he would not have minded had I taken the call, but I told him that I was working on developing my Attentiveness Quotient and would also appreciate it if he would help me by pointing out any inattentiveness he happened to notice in me.

That’s a good start to the day!
