Leaders, Leaders Everywhere, and not one to be seen!

Everyone is a leader? There is a dearth of good leadership? How about good help, is that still so hard to find?

Lead from the front. Lead by example. Lead from the rear. Lead by consensus. Lead by influence. Most leadership “gurus” don’t really develop and nurture and select good leaders. Far from it. What I have found is that most leadership “gurus” are merely touting a leadership system, a framework, a method and they seem to be telling the rest of us poor sheeple to come unto them and they will give us rest.

True leadership comes from choosing to nurture and develop good character first of all in MYSELF. When that happens, then other leaders will emerge via diffusion, osmosis and just plain raising children, meaning your own children. If you need to raise leaders in an organization, keep your “leadership pipeline” full and so forth, then you need to be willing to deliberately spend blood and treasure in mentoring programs, and they had better be real mentoring programs, not just another tick in your list of checkboxes.

If you think developing leadership in yourself is something you want to do but are daunted by how it is almost impossible (do note I said “almost”) to achieve, then you might like to drop me a note and ask how. Or, if you think you’ve already got it under your belt, you can always come and teach Slow And Difficult (SAD) people like me the ropes, as they say.

Try it! You’re welcome!
