Presentations Are For People!

Presentations Are For…People??

audience-and-micYes, they are, and the sooner we realize that the better. When we use terms like “audience” it helps to remember that an audience would not be an audience unless it were comprised of people. Just like you and me.

All of us need to become better at presentations, including me. It’s actually part of everyday communication, whether we like to admit it or not. Why, then, do so many have such a dread of presentations, of public speaking? Jerry Seinfeld is credited with saying that:

“According to most studies, people’s number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you’re better off in the casket than doing the eulogy.”

This workshop, conducted over a one-day plus a half-day period, will make you a better presenter than you are now. That’s provided you agree to participate. You’ll find that presentations are actually much easier to deliver when you start engaging with the fundamentals of delivering presentations. It gets even easier when you start engaging with the Audience.

You will be videotaped in order that you be able to see and hear what you look and sound like when you’re up there delivering your message. If nothing else, you will at least learn how to maintain a high level of self esteem from observing yourself on video.

The half-day session after the one-day workshop is for consolidating and calibrating your skills even further. You’ll take away at least one topic you can speak well on!

Coaching to bring you to higher presenting levels is available on request. Contact me for more details!
